  it seems as though many people come to this board and leave in a short space of time.. it's a pity.. there are people on this board who are very nice and polite even when discussing various views.

  this leads to understanding and concern.

  i would like to meet you people.. please post in here.. i term nice as being kind, not cursing, love for god almighty, thrives on the right things in life, not hurting other's feelings, etc.. blessed star

  Which God is that? Cursing is a language. In fact, it has no meaning aside from the meaning we assign it--just like all language. Would someone who doesn't speak your langauge be offended by the same words as you? hmmm Hurting other's feelings? You mean like telling them that they are not nice?

  i must admit my sesquipedalian posts have caused some to refer to an asinine constitution and forthwith associate my own identity in an equivalence relation to said characteristics.

  be that as it may, i possess an innate identity that renders itself to no external justifications or imposing pronouncements.

  however, i have recently come to revise my self-assessment, draining my incredibly rare and valuable time for no worthwhile purpose other than to appease the wanton, devouring desire that impersonates my heart from time to time.

  lol I have a word fetish. (and I've taken way too many lit classes in the last few years) Nothing is as sexy as a girl who knows the precise word she wants and is accurate with them. ;-) Me? I butcher words, but it's fun trying.

  ok, so i was raised luthren, my dad was cathlioc and then i went dub for 5 years and since have been completely turned off religion.

  the dub experience combined with world events and my personal ones have pretty much pushed all thoughts of a "almighty" out of my mind.

  of course there are times that i think of religion or get into a "2am religion talk" and i wonder wtf is really going on.

  well, i was dating this guy and its been a long time since i have even been with anyone that i thought was worthwhile.

  i've been focusing on other things and with everything else going on with trying to gain my independance i just have not wanted to get caught up.

  anyways, how dare the guy i was seeing call the whole jw mind-cult issue "stupid" when i tried to explain to him why i am the way i am (awful social skills, the simple excitement from just being around a new scene, etc.

  Becka, it's been my experience that young women seem to think of men as being juvenile. However, that feeling is reciprocal in many respects. There are plenty of juvenile women also. I think you're probably seeing men as juvenile because of your age group. Wait a few years, then you'll see they're not juvenile--you just don't like them. lol
